Not sure what he is talking about there but we are installing a solid plate steel stair in Fabulous Glenn Ellen CA, and well... I don't know. You need some metal bits? Is it...HEAVY? We got ya give us a ring. 

 

Stair way to ....

Not all stairways lead to heaven but this one might make you feel like and angel while you ascend it. We makes stairs so well people buy the house on the spot. We were going to say that you would be able to buy this stair and have a lovely house to go with it but.... didnt even make it to market.... Next time! First Impressions

The first thing you see as you walk into this Berkeley home is our stair railing. And we think it makes quite an impression.  All hot rolled steel and being that the homeowner was concerned about VOC's we coated it with organic bee's wax. It will last a lifetime with minimal care. We worked with John Lum Architecture to help this client make a lasting impression... Call us, we can help make you stand apart from the rest.

A time for reflection

As holidays are upon us and the end of year is in sight,

what a wonderful time to reflect....into our new 522 Industries mirrors! 

Our solid brass round mirrors come with 1/4" thick mirror glass and are available in several different sizes. We took the brass and hand applied a dark "oil rubbed" finish, then slowly took that down with steel wool to reveal more of a soft, brighter finish. Comes in two different styles of mounting plates.  What a great year this was, thank you all for making it possible.  Reflect on the past year with one of your own... Oh and you can throw in a few brass coat hooks too boot... nobody looks good in those big wintery coats....

Encrypted Luxe

Just finished up a super sexy fireplace in Sonoma.

Encrypted into the pattern is a house blessing....how cool is that?  All hot rolled steel with a clear satin finish. No grind marks, and it's all welded from behind. Kinda sweet dontyathink? There are two panels one in the dinning room and one in the living room and with the space between all the shapes you get a bit of a Morie effect as you walk around the room. We got to work with the wonderful architects over a Baken, Gillam & Kroger and the awesome crew from Jim Murphy & Assoc that built this amazing house.

Get your Maker On.

All right, everyone is getting in on the Maker scene...

Well, I'm sure these people are having fun while doing it in style as well...introducing a little work table styled after one of our more favorite Months of the year...it is after all the early spring months where inspiration comes from...huh?  We were lucky enough to work with Regan Baker Design for one of their clients on this beautiful work table...and hey if you need furniture let us know, this butcher block top on hot rolled steel base or at least something similar to it can be yours. The Eastern Span

I know, I know.... we all feel it.  I hope you made it across one last time.  I made a special trip with the family and took in the bay lights as well... it was good.  If you start to feel nostalgic compose yourself and head over to our square site and pick up a T-shirt. They are black American apparel and we are going with soft water based inks, you know because we care... they have our new Eastern Span logo on the front and the old 522 on the back be sure to let us know what size when you check out.....oh hey, if you need some metalwork let us know... we still do that as well.

Glassy and classy

I don't know.. I guess I just couldn't think of a better title... but it IS glass and it IS classy...and it's just fun to say.....Go on, say it five times as fast as you can....and if you can't say it five times.. just give us a call once.. we can handle it from there...

Clear satin on Hot rolled steel, rift sawn white oak and 1/2" tempered glass... you know the rest...if you are looking for, Mitered cuts, minimal visible welds, no grind marks, counter-bored socket head fasteners and just a damn fine looking rail, you should call us.

Art Work and glass railings...

Looks like the only thing in a frame here is the glass railing.... so we had to make it nice.. cantilevered metal frame holds the top edge of this tempered glass railing. The bottom of the glass was drilled so we could bolt through the glass and into the floor joists...with custom hot rolled spacers to match the railing...call us.. we would be happy to be apart of your collection too...

Gosh...seems like it has been so long since we have posted anything here... we have been crazy busy doing some amazing work that we can't wait to share with you... Look for more updates coming soon. The end of the world.. just don't be late for dinner!

So I guess this is it...just make sure you are not late to dinner.  Especially since we just finished up a new dinning for Feldman Architecture. So wash your hands and dig in.. and when you wake up new years morning wishing the world had ended just be thankful for the eggs and coffee on the new breakfast table...

You have to be.. tidy.  I'm just saying.  We just finished up some kitchen cabinet doors for a client in Piedmont CA.  Two words. Clear glass.  Sends shivers down you spine doesn't it.  Go on look in your pantry....I can wait... It was a mess wasn't it. Look below and wonder at the tidiness. Step across the void

Well no longer a void but a path to understanding and knowledge.  We just completed a bridge for a client on the other side of the hill... gosh it's nice over there.. all the trees and hills...anyway they had no way to get to their office/study.  We have now bridged the gap to understanding, well at least the gap to where they are going to have their computer...Now it might be easier for the kids to get their reports done....Hot Rolled steel I Beam and railing with anodized aluminum grating.
