Aesthetically thoughtful and well made

We were asked to collaborate with JMA Architecture and Design Line construction on a remodel in San Francisco. We took their concepts and elaborated. From the beautiful Privacy screen at the entry with a hot rolled frame and blackened Banker wire mesh infill to the plate steel stair railing. We also added aesthetically thoughtful hot rolled panels in the living room opposite the Well made 5/8" thick solid full height bookshelves. If you need some solid aesthetically thoughtful and well made architectural steel or design work? Give us a call. We can help.

Another Year another AIA Tour

Goodness.... I've missed you, it's been way too long.
We have been busy working hard, and there just so happens to be another AIA tour in the east bay where you can see what we have been working on. We worked with Kuth/Ranieri Architects on their ‘Canyon repose' project above the Claremont Hotel in the Berkley hills. We did the metal work for their exterior stair and railing and on the interior we did their trim around their fireplace.  The exterior is hot dipped galvanized for longevity and then we did a black patina to make it pop and get away from the hot dipped funkiness. The patina ends out having color variation and depth and maintains the metal look of the steel that paint tends to cover up. Plus the patina will outlast paint because unless the galvanized surface is properly prepped the paint will peel off within a year....The interior fireplace trim is cold rolled steel that we also put a black patina on.  Anyway, we did all this for these fine people and we can certainly do it for you. What are you waiting for....give us a call.

In case you missed it

I'm sure most of you saw this during the San Francisco Living AIA home tour in Sept. But just in case you were out of town or hiding under a rock or something, here are a couple shots of the Winfield Residence in SF.  She was the Belle of the Ball if you ask me..the house was designed by Husband and Wife Architects Ted Arleo and Michelle Kriebel and built by our friend Blair Burke and his fantastic crew....Follow the links to more pictures of the house... I seemed to have been fixated on our stair. We helped Architects Ted and Michelle design their stair.. we can help you too...just give us a ring.
